Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG) is an emerging investigative technique for violent crimes against children cases with unknown crime scene DNA. The IGG technique is an identity resolution technique to help investigators identify the suspect or victim of a homicide or sexual assault. This presentation will give an overview of the technique, it's utilization in crimes against children cases, and a case study showing how IGG was used.
