This workshop delves into the world of tattoo indicators and iconography. This training will explore the historical context of commercial exploitation through the lens of a lived experience expert. This session will provide valuable knowledge and help break down tattoo history, how branding evolved through history, tattoo indicators, breaking self-harm stigmas, identifying gang-affiliated ink, predator tattoo identification, how removal sessions work, scar revision services, services for minors, how to work with tattoo shops and removal technicians, trauma-informed approaches when talking to survivors/victims on scars/tattoos, case studies, and shed light on the mission of the services we offer on a national level.
