Operation Memory Maker was a joint HSI/AFP undercover operation targeting pedophiles who utilized online platforms to exploit children around the world. This presentation will focus on how HSI was able to infiltrate multiple online communities with access to children, highlighting several of the investigative techniques used to identify, and arrest multiple hands-on offenders from the over sixty targets identified during this operation. This complex investigation will take the audience through the in-depth coordination needed to effectively run an international U/C operation with multiple partners, highlighted by two of the most high-profile arrests in Australia over the last several years. Furthermore, this presentation will show how to effectively utilize U.S. law enforcement agents assigned in foreign countries to further international investigations, rescue children and quickly share new leads developed from these relationships.
