In this session we will explore a hot topic of victim and witness privacy. Although Law enforcement does their best to treat victims with empathy and respect privacy where possible, victims can often feel reviolated during the collection of evidence. With Mobile Device collections, concerns for their privacy often end the forensic collection process because cell phones contain artifacts not relevant to the case with conversations, photos and videos that are potentially embarrassing to them. In this presentation, we will discuss ways investigators can minimize the exposure of victim data and limit the scope of your extraction.
