Michael Mitchell

Michael Mitchell was an Associate at a Chicago based law firm from 2016-2018, from there he joined the State's Attorney in Kane County, Illinois. He then joined the U.S. Attorney's office for the Southern District of Texas in McAllen, Texas as an Assistant U.S. Attorney (AUSA) in February 2019. Mike then moved to Pittsburgh and joined theU.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania in March 2023. Mike was the lead AUSA on the morphed CSAM case U.S. v. James Smelko.
