James Redfield is a Sex Offender Tracking Analyst with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Sex Offender Tracking Team ® (SOTT) where he has worked for fifteen years. Previously, James worked with the Fairfax County Virginia Police Department in patrol and investigations. During his career, he earned a Meritorious Action and a Meritorious Service Award and retired as a second lieutenant after 26 years in 2007. Among his many assignments with the police department, he supervised a pro-active community patrol unit whose duties included assisting in sexual offense investigations, and residential verifications of registered sex offenders. James has a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Justice and a Paralegal Certificate from George Mason University.
