Mauranne Ste-Marie has worked as a Senior Research Analyst within the RCMP’s Sensitive and Specialized Investigative Services (SSIS) for the past ten years. She graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Master’s degree in Criminology focusing her research on female online child sex offenders. She is currently involved in operationally-relevant research in the areas of online child sexual exploitation, missing persons and unidentified remains, truth verification and behavioral sciences. Over the past five years, she has conducted operational research specifically on child-like sexual abuse dolls, sexual recidivism and sexual deviancy.
