Frank Barfuss is the head of the Criminal Intelligence Unit within the Behavioural Sciences Investigative Services of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He specializes in the application of criminal intelligence methodologies to investigate violent, sexual, and serial offenders and offending. Within Behavioural Sciences he has occupied various roles such as High-Risk Sex Offender Investigator, Criminal Intelligence Analyst and acting NCO i/c of Operations for the High-Risk Sex Offender unit. He holds a Master’s degree in Criminology from the University of Ottawa and is considered a Subject Matter Expert in sex offender risk assessment. Prior to joining the RCMP he worked in the numerous organizations within the Canadian federal government such as the Integrity Service Directorate, Public Safety Canada and the Canadian Armed Forces.
