David Camacho is a lieutenant with the El Paso Police Department and is currently assigned to the Criminalistics Unit [CSU]. During his tenure with the El Paso Police Department he has worked assignments in the Patrol Division, the Robbery and Burglary investigative unit, as well as the Criminal Investigations Division. He served in the Homicide Unit as a Detective and a Sergeant between 2014 and 2023. He was a Task Force Officer with the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Violent Crimes Squad. He served as the AMBER Alert coordinator from 2017 to 2023. Lt. Camacho is an active adjunct instructor with the National Criminal Justice Training Center. He is a graduate of Lamar University where he earned a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration and Leadership.
