Forensic Biologist III

Amanda Webb is a Forensic Biologist III at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences (SWIFS), also known as the Dallas County Crime Laboratory. She has a B.S. in Microbiology from Texas A&M University and a M.F.S. in Forensic Molecular Biology from George Washington University. During her graduate program, Amanda worked in the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory’s mitochondrial DNA research section. Currently at SWIFS, she performs DNA analysis, testifies as an expert witness, assists with basic laboratory oversight, and manages the laboratory’s validation program.
