Janeth Peterson is a licensed social worker and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Forensic Services at Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC). For the last 13 years, Janeth has worked in child abuse and maltreatment, specializing in forensic interviewing, a specialized field of interviewing children who have made a disclosure of abuse. She has conducted over 2000 forensic interviews, testified in civil and criminal child abuse trials as an outcry and expert witness, and is trained in the Child First, Child Forensic Interview Training for California (CFIT), and CACTX Semi-Structured Narrative Process forensic interviewing protocols. She has trained at the local, state and national level for law enforcement, child protective workers, forensic interviewers and victim advocates.
