Jennifer Rider

Detective
Chesapeake Police Department

Jennifer Rider has been employed with the Chesapeake Police Department, in Chesapeake, Virginia, for over twenty-two years. She is currently a Detective/ K-9 Handler assigned to the Criminal Investigations Section in the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit. She is part of the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and is cross-designated as a Task Force Officer with the FBI. In her time in this role, she has investigated numerous cases related to child pornography, travel, and enticement. She is partnered with K-9 Quincy, an Electronic Storage Detection K-9 who has become an integral part of the ICAC unit.
