Sex offenders often practice grooming and manipulation to gain access to potential child victims which includes manipulation of children, their caregivers/family, organizations, and even communities at large. This presentation will review recent research that identifies red flags and stages of grooming. Through review of actual case scenarios, participants will explore ways they can utilize the discovery of grooming to serve as valuable corroborative evidence in child sexual abuse cases.
