An out-of-town neighbor’s Ring doorbell camera alerted her to suspicious activity and led law enforcement in a small Texas town to discover the scene of a violent homicide next door. The subsequent investigation into the death of a sex buyer in this upper middle class neighborhood revealed an ongoing criminal enterprise involving human trafficking and a string of other violent crimes across multiple jurisdictions. The presenter will uncover the twists and turns that led to the identification of six human trafficking victims, two minors and four adults, caught in a dangerous cycle of exploitation and forced criminality, and ultimately brought a trafficker to justice.
