Lackawanna County District Attorney's Office
Chris Kolcharno has been a sworn police officer since 1988. Hired by the Lackawanna County District Attorney's Office in June of 2001, he has been a member of The Special Victim’s Unit since that time. Chris was promoted to Deputy Chief of Detectives in June of 2023. He is a member of the Pennsylvania State Police Northeast Computer Crime Task Force and the Pennsylvania ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Task Force. Detective Kolcharno was a Task Force Officer for the FBI at the Scranton Resident Agency, working violent crimes against children. He is currently a member of the hostage negotiation team for Lackawanna County SWAT. Chris is an adjunct instructor for the National Criminal Justice Training Center, NCJTC.
